Non-invasive Performance Tracking with Smart Cameras

Yezhou Yang | School of Computing Informatics, and Decision System Engineering

The overall goal of this GSI Sport 2036 seed project plan is to study and validate that both the athletes and the general public can benefit from using the low-cost camera-first and non-invasive performance tracking solutions. These solutions can 1) lower the equipment costs significantly for performance tracking; 2) assist the trainers and coaches to design more efficient training plans, and 3) benefit a wide range of sports activities participants from a variety of demographical backgrounds due to its low-cost and easy-to-set-up nature.
