This study uses national college student data to document and compare the trajectories of mental health concerns (depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation/attempts) of racially/ethnically diverse student-athletes groups over a 5-year time period. By casting a spotlight on student-athlete mental health over time, across racial/ethnic groups, and in comparison with non-student-athletes, this research will help us to understand if student-athlete participation has been tied to better or worse mental health in recent years and how race/ethnicity factors into the portrait of student-athlete mental health
