NFL, Washington Football Team Look to Take Next Steps on Diversity Efforts

In 2016, the NFL established the Black Engagement Network (BEN) as a diveristy and inclusion effort following players' and employees' protests against police brutality and social injustice. The Washington Football Team was the first club to start its own BEN charter in 2020, marking a step in the team's attempt to move away from its problematic reputation.
