Morgan Stanley Global Sports and Entertainment to Sponsor Global Sport Institute at Arizona State University Podcast
TEMPE, Ariz. (Dec. 14, 2021) - Morgan Stanley Global Sports and Entertainment is sponsoring Global Sport Institute (GSI) at Arizona State University’s “Global Sport Matters” podcast, which focuses on timely, relevant topics impacting sport.
The podcast’s main host is Kenneth L. Shropshire, CEO of the Global Sport Institute and adidas Distinguished Professor of Global Sport. Shropshire is joined by a diverse set of experts and guests, including regular co-host William C. Rhoden of ESPN’s The Undefeated and guest producer Karen Given formerly of WBUR & NPR’s “Only A Game.” Past guests of note include Muffet McGraw, John Beam, Jerome Allen, and Carl Douglas.
The program discusses the intersection of sport and research, business, race, and culture. Previous show topics include: Name, Image, Likeness (NIL), vaccine mandates, mental health issues, transgender athletes’ rights, race, gender and equity issues; and the hiring and firings of Athletic Directors, NFL coaches and other league leadership positions. The goal of the podcast and GSI’s work is to share knowledge and make a positive impact through sport with compelling stories and an interdisciplinary approach.
