In a Time article, writer Sean Gregory spoke with Global Sport Institute CEO Kenneth Shropshire about his thoughts on Nike's tough position as Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving continues to hold out from getting vaccinated, leaving him unable to play or practice in New York under local mandates.

“It’s a bad spot,” says longtime sports business professor Kenneth Shropshire, who leads Arizona State’s Global Sports Institute. “It’s hard for Nike to lay low. But I think that’s the best thing they can do.”
